Review of Reds (1981) by Alvin Y — 28 Aug 2012
Reds, Great Movies.
WOW! this film was amazing and has good directing by Beatty also the actor who played John Reed. I say this film is very informative and political on the issue about the communist in Russia during the 1910's. The acting in this film was absolutely perfect, I didn't look back at how these events happened in real life, I felt I was there on those days when Reed was speaking to the Russians. Well, this film is truly an epic but it is not compared to some films like "Doctor Zhivago" & "Gone With the Wind" by their concepts in romance because we get to see how Jack Reed shows the meaning of true passion to her wife Louise. OK, so I give it 5/5 stars, also this film could have been the winner for best picture over "Chariots of Fire" although this and that film are both inspired by true events.
