Jamie Foxx flat out makes this movie awesome. It's the true (and surprisingly accurate) story of Stan "Tookie" Williams who was the founder of the notorious LA gang the Crips which has now become one of the biggest and most notorious gangs in the country.

The story is told through the eyes of Williams as he takes a look back through all the events in his life that led him to start the gang, what it became, and how it led to his downfall. This notorious gangster while imprisioned eventually settles down, begins to read and write, becomes a Christian and turns his situation into an inspiring one for others by writing a series of award winning childrens books aganist gang violence.

It grows to the point where he receives a nomination for a Nobel Peace Prize while on death row. This movie contains all of the information about Williams life, but more importantly how he impacted others once he realized he had wasted his.
