Review of Redbelt (2008) by Richard L — 04 Sep 2008
The film is solid and has the classic Mamet earmarks - staccato language, deceptions, machismo. The final act is a total fantasy which is fine because Mamet is exploring the mythos, not the reality, of honor.
The checkout guy at Hollywood Video told me that it wasn't a good movie because there wasn't enough fighting. I think he missed the point.
