A quick glance at the trailer may lead you to believe that this is just another chop-socky "Karate Kid" flick. At the hands of David Mamet (himself a practitioner of Jiu jutsu), however, the genre is taken to a new level.
Chiwetel Ejiofor deserves to be the "next big thing:" his performance as Mike perfectly portrays his character's inner qualities and samurai code of honor. Watch for Tim Allen in a very out-of-character (in a good way) role.
