The idea is great but the execution is poor. Acting for the most part feels forced and sounds like line reading. Actors often repeat the same words too many times in the same sentence making it seem like Mamet asked them to improvise and nothing else came to them.
Ejiofor is believable, gives an excellent performance, and is the main reason I gave Redbelt 3 stars.
