Review of Redbelt (2008) by Mallory A — 28 Nov 2008
Mamet takes a gamble with this refreshing drama focusing on martial arts, and the methodology that defines the lead character Mike Terry, played wonderfully by Chiwetel Ejiofor. While Mamet films can often be 'talky', Redbelt has a great balance of dialogue and intensity, as we are thrown into this universe where the fighter must master his life and the conflicts that arise.
