Without a doubt one of the worst movies i've seen in the past few years. I don't throw around sayings like that to make it sound sexy, but Redbelt was a grueling experience. Mostly because the people that made this movie are so talented it's stupid.
The movie starts off with heavy handed ideas of honor, integrity and discipline but you grit your teeth and go with it. Then it turns into a fish out of water story and all of the sudden...wait for it.
..a mixed martial arts film noir!!! Yes folks! The last 15 minutes of this movie feel like a sitcom.
