Why not just make a documentary on this sad episode of the Iraq disaster? I always find these re-enactments quite unsatisfying. The most powerful part of the film, in fact, is the actual photos of civilian casualties at the very end.
And even these images are diminished by the redacting of the victim's eyes. A sanitized version of the truth.
