Tough film. This Venice Film Festival hit is gritty, raw, violent, and a host of negatives --which is what it was designed to be: a view of the Iraq War and its atrocities from the eyes of soldiers. The language is exceptional vulgar and crude, and violence graphic and hard to take.

How much is reality? Well, it's based on a true event, told here with some literary license. I am glad I watched it once, but won't do it again.
