This is a really amazing film. It is not exciting at all though! It employs a documentary style to tell the story of a rape and murder of an Iraqi girl who is 15 years old by American soldiers who have been themselves brutalized by the war and their part in it, and then the story of the cover-up.
The scenes are striking and De Palma (Scarface!) totally maintains the documentary fiction to great effect. But remember this is not Scarface or the Dirty Dozen in terms of typical filmic drama excitement.
