Brave stuff from De Palma. To do this after the pedestrian "The Black Dahlia" shows why he is one of the best, but most infuriating, mainstream directors. Ofcourse, he has to toe the Hollywood line in order to get the freedom to do things like this.
For him to do such a politically and visually radical film at this stage of his career is highly commendable.
