Review of Redacted (2007) by Vincent H — 15 Apr 2008
Brien de Palm just made for the Iraq war of the XXIst century what a few of his illustrious colleagues (and he himself) did for the Vietnam war. He expressed through film the individual, social, and political impact of it, with an most up to date use of the media, exactly like in their own unique ways, did Apocalypse Now, MASH, The Deer Hunter, Casualties of War or Full Metal Jacket did in their own time.
That's a really good news for modern day cinema. Aside from that, it's obviously a pleasure to see that De Palm is still up to his reputation...
