Brian de palma did a prior movie called casualties of war with sean penn and michael j. fox which had better acting but redacted is similiar but with the war in iraq and though the acting isn't as good, it still gets the point across about what war is and what we see on fox news or cnn is really not the real war footage 'cause the real war footage would have an R rating and couldn't be shown on t.
V. Overall, a great film and better than the others that have been released except for stop loss.
