Review of Redacted (2007) by Cris A — 28 Nov 2008
I found de Palma's film Casulties of War gut wrenching. This latest effort, looking at US troops in Iraq packs a punch also. It is even handed in its portrayal of the role of the media and unsympathetic about its message regarding how little difference there is between acts of terrorist violence and acts of rape and murder.
I don't want to see this film again but would recommend it as compelling viewing about the ugly side of war.
