Review of Red White & Blue (2010) by Edward C — 18 May 2011
One hour and fifteen minutes of excruciatingly pretentious blather followed by twenty-five minutes of over-the-top morbidity. I like movies about sociopaths and I'm not offended by screen violence, and I've seen a lot of it, but this really pushed my buttons.
Shudder. The only reason I'm giving it even one star is that Noah Taylor's performance is out of this world. He may be one of the most unrecognized talents of our time. It's too bad this performance is trapped in this film.
