Review of Red White & Blue (2010) by Jordon J — 05 Oct 2013
A harrowing character study and a true horror/slasher film where every character carries a fragment of the villain, unleashing terrible evil with no true resolution. Oddly humanizes each individual, as no character could overcome the pain brought on by their actions, without having a bit of a soul. Our actions create hell.
Noah Taylor and Amanda Fuller tie the acting side of things together and the editing gives the film a sort of sociapathic detachment from the characters early on. As the film progresses and grows more gruesome, we find ourselves beginning to truly feel for each person caught up in the story, but by then it is far too late.
