Review of Red, White and Blue (1971) by Joshua B — 02 Oct 2010
This movie has been on my radar for some time. Missed it during SXSW and Fantastic Fest. A decent low-budget thriller set in Austin. I really liked how the film was shot and the music. The film focuses on three characters.
I didn't really have an issue with the pacing of the film, but I wish the film didn't go as long without giving screen time to some of the main characters. Some of the character's actions seem unlikely, which took away from the film a bit.
The ending is particularly gruesome and ranks up there as one of the few times I felt uneasy watching a film. This film is not for everyone.
