Review of Red Tails (2012) by Brett W — 28 May 2012
George Lucas makes his final desperate attempt at populist money grabbing with Red Tails; a story he claims has never been told on film (the "first all-black action film"). A film that he claims has been suppressed due to Hollywood racism (even though Tyler Perry has three or four movies out per year). Well, at least George's vast guilded tower delusion has functioned as a kind of litmus test for the current state of racism towards black Americans... and the only emotion it seems to have sparked is a general state of bemused bewilderment at a billionaire media tycoon playing the race card in the era of Obama.
A fitting way for George to enter his "retirement"; blaming everyone else and taking his toys home to play by himself. Bye, George.
