Despite all the bad reviews, I still had some hope that the film would be good. While the film wasnt horrible, you can tell it's a product of George Lucas (besides all the news coverage on his struggle to make this film in Hollywood).
Lots of cheesy oneliners, badly acting extras and lame attempts at discussing the racism that the Black airmen endured during that time period. I still enjoyed it for what it was and agree with Lucas about the lack of good Hollywood films with all an black cast.
Check out The Tuskegee Airmen tv movie by HBO or the great documentary about about the airmen instead.
