[SPOILER ALERT] it was hard to suspend disbelief to really enjoy this movie. There is no sense of threat to the pilots. And there is no way most of this movie could have happen in real life. Any fighter pilot that was damaged would never lead 5 enemy aircraft back to his airfield.
Also you can't just decide to fly fighter planes "longer". Among other things .. this film lands short.
