Review of Red Tails (2012) by Matt A — 08 Nov 2012
You know a film isnt going to turn out very well when they use the same sound effects from the prequel trilogy of Star Wars for the bullet sounds. This should of been a triumphant tale, filled with brilliant emotional scenes and breathtaking aerial combat, but it fails on nearly every level.
You dont give a damn about the characters even though they are fighting for racial equality in a ''white mans army''. The dialogue is terrible, it matches the Star Wars prequel trilogy for the amount of clunky cheesey lines that are spit from the cast, Terrence Howard being the main culprit, followed closely by Cuba Gooding Jr's terrible one liners.
The action scenes look far too faked thanks to the crisp CGI thats used, it shouldnt look THAT clean! I have mentioned the prequel trilogy of Star Wars a lot, and thats because it is like Episode 1-3 set in World War 2.
. just awful.
