Lucas has his stamp all over this, from the appalling dialogue, archetypes (drunk, cocky, newbie, quirky pilots) to the see-sawing Cgi quality (some jaw-dropping scenes, alongside awful greenscreen obviousness).
Shame, this true-ish story deserves better treatment. film comes across like a kids-safe clichà (C)d matinà (C)e film. unfortunately what could have been a great film, turned (via lucas' stinky paws) into something that's a bit lame and bears all the awful similarities with the recent Indiana Jones and Star Wars remakes.
