Review of Red State (2011) by Ken W — 28 May 2012
This is not a Kevin Smith movie, and that's the point. This ultra-violent vision based loosely on the Westboro Baptist Church is a horrific tale true evil on earth. Combining elements of Texas Chainshaw Massacre / Hostel and a touch of Tarantino, Red State had me transfixed wondering where the next twist was heading and just when this ride through terror would stop.
..in a good way.
