Superb picture with a fairly believable storyline. Michael Parks plays the preacher with superb understatement. Jon Goodman gets a most unfortunate line "As an animal lover who doesn't eat all his dinner" (yeah).
Only the end enquiry scene is a little jarring and unbelievable. Well worth watching. Kevin Smith shows he can go from quirky niche movies to more mainstream with no loss of his style.
