Review of Red State (2011) by Lance G — 26 Nov 2012
This movie was extremely successful in really making me angry I'll give it that. Its main problem is that it is trying really hard to be a horror movie, but it has too much of the Kevin Smith feel and random humor to it that I feel holds it back. It's not that scary, just loud and annoying in every aspect.
I also believe that if Kevin Smith was going to have the entire movie play out in the way it did, he might as well have just left the original ending in.
