I haven't seen Cop Out but the 58% percent rating on here for Red State does indicate a slight return to form following the critical lambasting of Kevin Smith's life for the former. Red State still feels like a departure for Smith and as such it is worth watching but he seems to be more comfortable with the comedy genre.
