Review of Red State (2011) by Rizøu S — 14 Feb 2013
Kevin Smith goes for the jugular in this visceral, terrifyingly violent thriller/horror. Completely unlike any of his past work, Smith's "Red State" is sociopolitically relevant, unflinching in its resistance to align with thriller cliches and taut, edge of your seat filmmaking.
Although this isn't for those who are easily offended or those with a weak stomach, it's a highly recommended film with an amazing cast.
