"EXTREMISTS KILL GAYS IN THE NAME OF GOD".
- After watching 'Red State', the 2011 action horror film, I can honestly say I felt potential with the very first part of the movie where the tension builds up, but during the police riot it completely lost me. It feels like the movie lacked a budget to have a proper ending; so disappointing! What a shame, because the storyline was interesting, although it's sad to say that there are extremist groups out there that share the conservative vision of the Five Points Trinity Church. Let them gay's be gay! Important names on the poster are John Goodman (The Flintstones) and Michael Parks (Grindhouse, Kill Bill). Now, let's never speak of it again...
Three teenage friends receive an invitation from a woman that one of them met on a sex site to come over for a gangbang. The boys agree, but while driving to the woman's trailer outside their hometown, they accidently drive against another car that is parked on the side of the road. Not knowing that the vehicle belongs to the local sheriff, who is inside receiving oral sex, the friend drive off. Arrived at the trailer, they meet Sarah Cooper, who offers them a couple of beers. While getting undressed the friends realize too late that the beers were drugged. When waking up, they find themselves imprisoned in the sanctuary of Pastor Abin Cooper (Parks), leader of the Five Points Trinity Church, a religious group of extremists that blame all of the world's problems on homosexuals. Because the boys wanted to join in on a gangbang, they are not pure and need to be punished. In the mean time, the sheriff is looking for the car that hit his vehicle with the help of his deputy. Will they be able to find the boys?
