Review of Red State (2011) by Mark P — 05 Feb 2014
Unusual for Kevin Smith, it's not a comedy. It starts out in typical fashion with Smith's comfortable style, then switches to a horror and action film. It's violent and horrifying, and in Michael Parkes portrayal of Abin Cooper, a villain who is not too far from the person he is based on.
The fact that this is not far fetched makes it all the more scary.
