Review of Red State (2011) by Scott W — 19 Aug 2013
Red State seems somewhat disjointed, perhaps due to heavy editing or lack of confidence in the plot, but this undermines the central story about an extended family of religious fundamentalists who take it upon themselves to lure 'sinners' into a trap adn then execute them.
Michael Parks gives a fantastic, startling central performance as Pastor Cooper and John Goodman is good as the Special Agent besieging his compound.
