Review of Red Sparrow (2018) by Cole S — 03 Mar 2018
It was very much like an old spy thriller movie and I enjoyed it a lot. Atmospheric, good direction and an excellent cast. Jennifer Lawrence, as Dominika Egorova, is riveting to watch and does a stellar job in keeping you wondering where her true allegiance lies.
Matthias Schoenaerts, who plays her Uncle Vanya is the other standout in the ensemble. The adaptation of the plot from Jason Matthews' book was well done, with length and pacing of the movie effective to convey Dominika's story.
