Instead of having an actual story line this movie is quilted together by violent sex scenes and death. The hour long depiction of Red Sparrow training seemed more like a time filler and less like a story builder, as the point being made about what their job entailed and the harshness it would take to complete it could have been adequately completed in under fifteen minutes.
The characters do not have enough substance to hold the tremendous burden that is this overly complex story line.
