Review of Red Sonja (1985) by Ben H — 02 Oct 2010
This is one of those movies that I really want to love, especially with Schwarzenegger doing what he does best *hacking* and *decapitating* but in the end I just 'like' it. During a decade when we had such greats as Conan, Hawk, Krull and Willow there is really no excuse for the extremely slow choreographed fight scenes, nor the borrowed sets.
This isn't a bad film, but it sure is a great example of lazy directing and acting; let's hope the 2012 remake injects some magic back into this genre.
