Review of Red Scorpion (1988) by Bailey A — 07 Aug 2008
I miss the days of pointless action movies, I really do. I believe this was the Dolphster's first film in which he was the male lead and he does an admirable job. He plays an evil commie bastard who is pretty much evil all the way through until he meets a kindly bushman who teaches him the ways of killing the right people, his commie bastard friends.
It's not really violent violent, but there sure are a ton of explosions. M. Emmet Walsh has some fun hamming it up as a pretentious prick reporter and it's always nice seeing Brion James trying on a different accent.
