Review of Red Road (2006) by Jason B — 11 Nov 2007
As you watch this film you will be confused, stunned, angry, and bitter. You will wonder what is happening. You will want to walk out. But whatever you do...keep watching the film! The story centers around the mysterious character Jackie, who watches the city through hundreds of cameras.
But what she sees on camera one day spins her world around, and takes us on an adventure like nothing we've ever seen before. The story is just interesting enough to keep you glued to seat, but at times the actions are almost too much to bear witness.
Throughout the story Jackie deals with stress and doubt as she faces a man who doesn't even remember her...a man who took the two things she loved most in the world away from her. By the end of the film, however, you will be intensely satisfied and nodding in approval.
Not a film to watch with children or grandparents around, but certainly something to see if own a DVD player.
