Review of Red River (2011) by Bob W — 20 Feb 2008
One of Wayne's best roles and one of young Clift's as well. I'd give this 5 stars except that it is a bit longish and suffers from being in black and white. Normally that doesn't bother me, but with all the landscapes, cattle drives, stampedes and such it screams out for color.
Yet another movie about the famed Chisholm cattle trail, but it is also a father-son study.
