Howard Hawks, and John Wayne, what else can you expect? John Wayne's stern attitude has always scared the shit out of outlaws. The stampede of herd is one of best western scenes, in my opinion. I really adore the climax of the film, it was necessary for the brilliant actor as John Wayne to realize his superstitiousness, because it takes strong man to contemplate his wrong decisions, and John Wayne was one!
