Fairly nice re-telling of a classic tale. Acceptable (though not impressive) performances by the cast. The gothic style was interesting ... sort of. What pulls this film up is the sound design and music score.
Check the background material on the BluRay to fully appreciate the ingenuity that went into it. Nicely done. Decent entertainment for a Wednesday evening at home but not worth a 2nd viewing.
