Is it a great film? Certainly not. it does have its appeal however, with its sumptuous formalism and colors, the twisted fairy tale like ambience and of course Seyfried. Unlike the Twilight films, it is not trying to take itself seriously.
Besides Seyfried with her mixture of wide eyed innocence and raw sexuality makes a much better heroine than the Twilight actress with her sickly pallor, single expression and perpetual melancholy.
