Review of Red Riding Hood (2011) by Jianred F — 25 Oct 2013
What I really like about this movie is the plot twist at the end and how it made me keep guessing on who the wolf is but other than that na-da. The only reason I watched this until the end is because of Amanda Seyfried and even her is not enough to salvage this movie.
I had a lot of what the fuck moments (having sex on the snow really?) and honestly cannot find anything substantial in their conversations. There's no use to even talk about the script because it's seriously boring. Not to mention the performances of her leading men is seriously not something worth looking forward to; I cannot find any expression on Peter's face other than a smirk. To add to that, they made Red Riding Hood pretty. Okay I'm sure she was not supposed to be like that unlike the other stories princesses who's beauty was mentioned, but it's not like they followed the original plot except a few awkwardly inserted dialogue here and there.
To sum it all up, among all the other fairytales, Red Riding Hood is just not doing it for me.
