Review of Red Lights (2012) by Richard S — 18 Jun 2012
This kind of film should grab you within the first 10 mins but it starts off with a limp and doesn't really start to entertain until the last 15mins. De Niro is suitably sinister but you'll easily guess his 'secret' before the lead characters do.
It gets two stars for waking me up at the end of the movie with a dramatic and violent showdown and a final twist that I actually didn't see coming but it's not a patch on the director's first effort (Buried) that was a masterclass on tension!
