Review of Red Lights (2012) by Reini U — 23 Jul 2012
I really ilked buried, cortes' previous film, so I was def looking forward to this, and seeing how cortes would make a movie that doesnt take place in a box, and id say overall he succeeds, there are several creepy scenes, and the overall tone and look is very dark and bleak, I liked seeing them disprove supernatural phenomena, all the acting is good, tho murphy does go a bit over the top at times, and idk why they got olsen for such a small, almost throwaway roll, but deniro owns as always, as far as the story goes, there are some plot holes, and the ending isnt as satisfying as youd think, but I will say it definitely keeps you involved throughout and still moves pretty fast and is interesting.
