A messy film that has a rough time establishing itself, makes for an entertaining half of Act 2 then plummets into an uncertain film that fixes itself with an explanation on what the film is about in the end, causing you to wonder whether he wanted to direct a horror but lacked the horror elements so he ended up pursuing a half-baked psychological thriller with horror elements.
