Review of Red Lights (2012) by Jarrett H — 31 Jul 2013
A surprisingly human film whose intended audience is unclear until the second act. Its apparently detachment from a "real world" underscores the banality being conveyed through Weaver's character, combating a painfully atheistic abandonment of belief.
This film is far better than the reviews would lead you to believe and its understated profundity might go unnoticed by those who get caught up in its failure to deliver a deeper emotional attachment to the leads of the film.
Murphy is the undeniable start of this hidden gem.
