Review of Red Knot (2014) by Dinojay2 — 19 Jul 2015
If not for the incredible Antarctic scenery I wouldn't really recommend anything about this movie. Sure, they go to great lengths to explore identity and connection and trust and all that, but in the end it just feels like a thin story line concocted to justify a movie based in Antarctica.
I certainly understand the impulse, and the natural footage is amazing, but the actual plot falls far short of justifying the intense emotion we are supposed to feel for characters who basically just come across as childish and petty.
The actors were fine, however, and squeezed as much as they could out of the little they were given.
