Review of Red Eye (2005) by Jordan D — 27 Dec 2009
"Red Eye" is a non-stop thrill ride from start to finish. This has got to be one of my personal favorites from director Wes Craven. Cillian Murphy does a great job at portraying evil in this film. I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting to much going in, but I was pleasantly surprised by how good that this film turned out to be.
The plot of the film is very interesting, it's very fun to watch and very entertaining. The cast was good in this film as well, I thought that Cillian Murphy basically made the film what it is though. There isn't a huge cast, but there are a lot of small role actors who get the job done.
It's not one of those films that is going to blow you away with any big special effects and it won't win any awards but it is a fun ride along the way. Wes Craven got one right with this film, the only gripe I have about this film is some of the dialogue between the characters, some of it seemed like it would have been better if they would have just left it out.
