3/5.

First off, let me say, I always enjoyed Wez Craven. I loved "Nightmare on Elm Street" to "Scream". He also one of those directors that can put some crap out, like the film "Cursed". He also one of those guys that can put out film that are useless and pointless and Red Eye is that film. I love Wez Craven and will sit through all of his films but this thing was not needed at all.

The film plot is pretty simple. A plane is held of hands of Lisa Reisert (Rachel McAdams) who must listen to Jackson Rippner (Cillian Murphy) who is going to kill the Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security and if she does not listen, her dad is going to be killed and the plane is going down.

The main highlight of the film is Chillian Murphy and Rachel McAdams. They are both are really good and they really work together. Some of the action scenes are enjoyable and make up some of the films flaws. The also does a good job of being claustrophobic with the film only mainly set on the airplane.

Once again, like many of the films I review, the film struggles on development. The characters walk around the airport, drinking, giving people books and yelling at airport employees before this gets going and waste a lot time their. I'm one of those people, if you get a film gonna fast and make a film short and make it still be good, I'm all for it and this failed to do this and no doubt it could of.

The terrorist plot is pretty interesting but it is badly executed. We have no idea why we are blowing up this guy and a very few details are giving about him. The film is pretty boring and very few action scenes are in this sadly.

Wez Craven is mainly a horror guy and what he has put out here is action and thriller film. I'm all for that but I mean this thing was just not very good. Red Eye has some great acting and great action scenes but for the most part this film is pointless, not very interesting and a film that I will probably never watch again.
