Complete and total success . . a phenomenal and mesmerising experience. Definitely rivals Silence of the Lambs for me!
By the way, I'd seen Manhunter way back then, and it's boring old crap compared to this, not to disrespect Michael Mann. In that one I liked Brian Cox as Lecter there as well, and Dollarhyde was played creepily well by Tom Noonan too, it's just a cheaper 80s film, not bad for the time, but it never did it for me.
