Review of Red Dragon (2002) by Kieran F — 04 Dec 2012
Its Decent "Closure"(even though its the first one in the books) to a good series but...when compared to the others its....meah The film has a lot of STELLAR actors in it from Anthony Hopkins down to Harvey Keitel.
But the film as a whole feels...too..well..like RT says Familiar. It's basically telling the same story almost as Silence of The lambs the only real difference is the characters. Instead of it being Clarece asking for lectors help.
It's FBI Agent Will Graham this time asking for lectors help. And so all the interaction between the two characters is almost identical to the silence of the lambs one. It's def. better then Hannibal Rising but.
. other then that as a whole the film is a little meah. You're not disappointed in the film but you are...let down some what by the familiarity of it.(Which is nice to don't get me wrong but..you don't wanna see the same story twice).
