Review of Red Dragon (2002) by Maineutral R — 25 Jun 2014
Whilst Red Dragon is a far better film than Hannibal, it suffers from being a bit too predictable and by-the-numbers. Silence of the Lambs was a very much a cinematic film but Red Dragon feels like a made-for-TV special.
Everything feels a bit too glamorous and safe, the darker elements of the book are absent in this adaptation. Not a bad film but far from a great one.
